7 Luxury Villas in Tobago you HAVE to visit!

luxury villas in tobago

Every once in a while you’re going to want to treat yourself and with quarantine restrictions being lifted in Trinidad and Tobago, there’s no better opportunity to give yourself some good TLC away from the home that’s been driving you stir crazy over the last few months. With everyone eager to take that first girls/guys or family trip, I thought I’d share 7 luxury villas in Tobago that I’ve had my eye on from AirBnb (not an ad lol). Now please bear in mind I’ve only been to and experienced one of these villas on the list and I’ve been itching to get myself booked for the others at some point. So this isn’t much of a travel review, it’s more of a “let’s drool over these places” yeah? Alright let’s go!

1. Ohana Villa

So seeing as though I’ve actually been able to stay 2 nights working with Ohana to shoot some new photos I can 100% tell you that this villa is even more amazing in person. The architecture is Balinese style and you’ll definitely feel like you’re sipping a cocktail on a beachfront villa in Seminyak. There are 4 separate bedrooms each equipped with it’s own shower (some are outdoor) while the largest room has a huge shower area with a bathtub. Breakfast is complmentary and you can always arrange for a chef to prepare lunch and dinner if you feel like you never want to leave the property, which you might. If for some strange reason you get tired of the infinity pool with the amazing sunsets, you can use the private access gate to hop on down to the beach for some saltwater. The beach isn’t exactly private as it is shared by two neighbouring properties which never seemed like a problem to me but who cares when you have two infinity pools back upstairs?? Cmon. The master bedroom has windows that feel more like doors because of how big they are. Actually, they’re so big that you can wake up in the morning and dive through the window, straight into the pool. It was also my first time experiencing a fully outdoor facing shower area and I must say it was, liberating haha.

Honestly this villa is everything and a bag of chips and I was so giddy having the whole place to myself. PS: if you do choose to stay, Rena your concierge is an absolute angel and can make a damn good saltfish.

2. Eagle's Base Villa

Eagle’s Base has been on my list ever since I started taking an interest in travel content on a domestic level and its clear to see why. This property’s biggest selling point for me was that panoramic view over pretty much everything with an infinity pool to boot. It boasts 6 bedrooms that sleeps approx. 20 people in total and thats not including the self contained cottage that is also on the property which sleeps 2. With a living room area that huge it looks like a great retreat spot for big groups with plenty of space to move around or maybe even host a cocktail party? Who knows. But I would love to find out.

3. Villa Being

Sitting on 5 acres of an organic fruit estate, Villa Being is a 3 bedroom villa which is less accommodation than the others on this list but definitely makes up for it with its sheer size, panoramic view and loads of fruit bearing trees. Now I know a couple people that’s stayed at Villa Being already and if I’m being honest – I’m jealous. It gives off such a chill but exclusive, high fashion vibe and this is just my opinion from their content online.

4. Azulejo

It’s tough to describe places I’ve never been to just from limited photos so I thought I’d let the owners describe this one and hope you get the vibe from the imagery. I have seen some friends stay here via their Instagram Stories and it looked really amazing so I can just imagine it in person.

A Mediterranean style residence on a grand scale. Perched high on a ridge above the Caribbean, sweeping panoramic views stretch from the famous Buccoo Reef in the West, to the lush mountainous ridge of central Tobago in the East. A large deck surrounds two connected infinity pools with direct access from the house.

Finished in the finest materials and set around a Roman style central Atrium are a large kitchen, dining room, sitting room, bar, and air-conditioned study. There are six air-conditioned bedroom suites, all with verandahs.

5. Nirvana Tobago

I really have a thing for bright open spaces and thats exactly what jumped out at me when I first saw Nirvana. It has a sleek, clean and modern look with a very spacious pool deck area that flows right into the kitchen and other living spaces. From their website they say its a 6000 sq. ft property with 4 bedrooms all equipped with en suite bathrooms and beautiful sun terraces.

6. The Villas at Stonehaven

The Villas at Stonehaven is an utterly secluded retreat featuring 14 luxury villas blending the privacy and convenience of home with the amenities and service expected of a first-class hotel. Yeah. Fourteen. That all look top class with their own infinity pool, sundeck and outdoor dining area. From what I’ve gathered, you can book a villa based on the size of your group. They range from 1 Bedroom to 4 Bedroom at different seasonal prices. Although I wasn’t able to find images of some of the other villas but if they look anything like the one above then its definitely going to be amazing.

7. Villa Emoyeni

Last but not least on the list of luxury. We have Villa Emoyeni, a 4 bedroom mediterranean style, beachfront villa in Bacolet. I think it’s safe to say I have a thing for infinity pools but that wasn’t what sold me really. Surprisingly, it was that mini deck below the property that looked like an amazing photo op. All bedrooms offer their own breathtaking sea views with private balconies. Hard wood floors and accents in each room add warmth and charm. They feature king beds, en-suite bathrooms, individually controlled air conditioning units, ceiling fans and flat screen TVs with cable.
